Lounge Piranha is a four member post rock band from Bangalore, India. With over 50 shows across the nation in the last three years, and the Indian TFA Award for 2007 under their belt, Piranha's cult following in their city is now growing into a well-spread community of fans and regular online listeners around the country. The band is known for their unique brand of sounds and visuals: ambient soundscapes combine with guitar distortion on top of a tight rhythm section of drums and bass. With support from a didgeridoo player, a DJ, and a video projectionist, the progressive experiments have now established LP as an original, energetic and catchy new age act, representative of the future of Indian rock.
