BIOGRAPHY
After nearly two years since their inception As Silence Breaks are nearing closer to unleashing their take on the melodic hardcore/metalcore genre upon the world. With a release date for their debut full length CD penned in for winter 2009 the future is definitely now for the young and aspiring guys from Sydney.
With a sound sitting comfortably between both beauty and aggression ASB have made a sound both unique yet highly accessible; through this universal appeal they are turning heads within the music scene and have established a solid fan base that’s growing larger by the day, this coupled with an even stronger reputation means nothing but big things on the horizon for the boys from Western Sydney.
Not content with being pigeonholed into one specific genre As Silence Breaks have done what they have always chosen to do; and that’s to do it their way and carve their own path in the Australian heavy music scene. 2008 was a massive year for ASB which saw them tour the country relentlessly with the best bands from both local and abroad playing in excess of 50 shows and gaining countless new fans from across the country every time they took the stage.
Last December saw the boys hit the road with the kings of Australian Deathcore, The Red Shore, American heavy hitters For The Fallen Dreams and the up and coming all star band, In Trenches. The 13 date national tour saw the boys truly come into their own and stand up beside these 3 massive bands.
The next 12 months are the biggest yet for As Silence Breaks with the impending release of their debut album; an aggressive and unrivaled stage presence, countless shows and international tours in the pipeline the best is most certainly yet to come.
