BIOGRAPHY
The Amazing, the follow up full-length release to 2008’s Gone, again reveals Catherine Traicos’ versatile songwriting abilities and instinctive and imaginative arrangements. This time around, Catherine has teamed up with producer / engineer Nick Huggins (Whiteley, Touch Typist) at the legendary Pocket Full of Stones Studio to create a beautiful album of understated brilliance.
The Amazing contains melodies that will tug at your heartstrings coupled with lyrics that are at once personal, clever and amusing, all delivered with Catherine’s gorgeously delicate smoky voice.
The album features the skills of a range of musicians from stalwart Indie acts including Phil Natt (Ammonia, The Lazybirds), Gareth Skinner (Spiderbait, Bzark), Henry F. Skerritt and Emma Frichot (The Holy Sea), and Bree Hartley (The Manny Fox Hangman Club).
The Amazing will surely go a long way to seeing this brilliant young talent achieve the wider recognition she deserves. Catherine Traicos will be touring nationally from October, launching the album with support from Beachfield, featuring Glenn Thompson from Custard & The Go-Betweens.
The Amazing will be available nationally in record stores and on-line from October, via Fuse Music Group.
