Hailing form the depths of Melbourne, Straw King Eye, or as they were known then Desert Morning, consisted of three members, Matthew Winstanley, Paddy Hassall and James McAsey.  With the addition of David Pesavento and Constantine Stefanou, the band have been playing their fusion of tribalic grunge rock on the various stages of Melbourne.
